Role of This Site

Greene County Released Inmates is an independent reference site. It is not part of the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Greene County Jail, Mississippi Department of Corrections, State Parole Board, a court, or any federal or immigration agency. The site does not hold official records. It cannot confirm a person’s custody status, release anyone, change a sentence, file a court paper, or act for a public office.

Pages direct visitors toward official county and state resources, including records that may be requested under the Mississippi Public Records Act, Miss. Code sections 25-61-1 through 25-61-19. Some pages also connect visitors with outside research tools. A link or search result is a route to another provider, not an official finding by this site.

Acceptable Use Rules

Use must be lawful, respectful, and consistent with these conditions. You agree that you will not:

• Break any federal, Mississippi, or local law while using the site.
• Use information to stalk, harass, intimidate, or threaten another person.
• Use site content in a hiring, housing, lending, credit, or insurance decision.
• Seek access to accounts, systems, or data without permission.
• Deploy bots, scrapers, or automated collection tools against the site.
• Damage, overload, interrupt, or obstruct access for other visitors.

No Consumer Reports

Greene County Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not prepare background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports. Advertising and search partners appearing through the site do not provide screening services on the site’s behalf. By continuing, you agree not to use site content or linked results for any purpose governed by the FCRA, including:

• Hiring, firing, promotion, or another employment decision.
• Rental, housing, or tenant screening.
• Creditworthiness, lending, or insurance pricing.
• Licensing, permits, or eligibility for a government benefit.
• Any other decision regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Links and Outside Services

Links may lead to Greene County release-record sources, sheriff or court pages, MDOC resources, federal locators, legal-aid information, and independent search services. Those destinations operate under their own terms and privacy practices. A link does not mean Greene County Released Inmates endorses the provider. The site does not control an outside page’s content, data practices, prices, search results, or availability. Review the destination’s policies before submitting information or paying for a service.

Service Without Warranties

The site and its content are offered “as is” and “as available,” without express or implied warranties. No promise is made that:

• Information will always be accurate, complete, or current.
• The website or an outside destination will remain available without interruption.
• Every error, software defect, or security weakness has been removed.
• A partner search will return every relevant public record or person.

Custody status, court entries, and release records can change quickly. Material on this site is not an official statement from the Greene County Sheriff, MDOC, a court, or any other government agency. Confirm important facts with the office that created the record.

Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by applicable law, Greene County Released Inmates and its owners, operators, contributors, and partners will not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from access to, inability to access, or reliance on the site or an outside service. This limit applies even when the possibility of harm was known. Rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Greene County Released Inmates, its owners, operators, contributors, and partners from claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from your use of the site, your misuse of information, or your violation of these Terms & Conditions.

Ownership of Site Material

Unless a source states otherwise, the site’s original text, layout, graphics, logos, and code belong to Greene County Released Inmates or its content partners and are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. You may not copy, republish, distribute, sell, modify, or create derivative material from protected content without prior written permission. Government records and third-party materials remain subject to their own rights and rules.

Updates to These Terms

These Terms & Conditions may be revised at any time. A revision takes effect when the updated text is posted on this page. Continued use after posting means that you accept the revised terms. Check this page periodically if the terms matter to your use.

Suspension of Access

Access may be restricted, suspended, or ended at any time, with or without notice, for any reason. This includes conduct that threatens security, disrupts the service, violates these terms, or exposes the site or others to risk. Ending access does not waive provisions that should remain effective after termination.

Mississippi Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that must be filed in court shall be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Mississippi, unless controlling law requires a different forum.

Severability of Terms

If a court with authority finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. The affected provision will be limited or adjusted only as much as needed to make it enforceable while preserving its intended purpose.
